Today, I beat Camen to getting an iPhone. Hes sad, i'm not. Woohoo!
I believe that it is the most streamlined device on earth. It also may or may not have eternal life capabilities.
Either way, I redefined love... and lust.

The best analogy I have seen all day...
Regarding a pair of skis made by vokle, called "bridges". Over heard on Newschoolers.
"But really, My friend has the bridges and says that when you ski them its like seeing your first pair of tits. For some, that may mean a really awkward moment, but I think he meant that they were pretty fucking sick."
Check out newschoolers.com for all your freestyle and park skiing information needs.

Thong-tastic Mortification
Tonight, i inventoried my underwear drawer and, lo and behold, the best pair i own is held together with a safety pin. Can you say *fucking* ghetto? yeah. So i tell mom i need underwear, she says "well i'm going to kmart, lets just get some there." I say, "Sounds swell!" (Nevermind that buying underwear from kmart is probably not even cool enough to call ghetto.)
And we are on our merry way.
I get assloads of underwear, the sexy kinds that don't come in packages and will not fall apart. (well... i am sort of a sex fiend so thats not a guarantee...)
We head to the check out line. Peripheral vision: the clerk is some young guy, but no big deal, its not a secret that humans wear undergarments right? I gleefully pile my wealth on the little rubber strip thing, he rings them up.... and the glitch.
Computer malfunction. Typical. Overcharged. (The benefit of a sale is so negated by spastic computers adding random extra items to the receipt.)
Evidently this is too much for the poor lad. He is very apologetic and quite obviously a clerking noob. I tilt my head to the side, his steadfast shy mannerisms seem so familiar... my eyes wander towards his plastic nametag...
"KARL"*
Karl... Karl?
Long ago, in a church youth group far away...
I know this guy.
shit shit shit shit shyyyiiiit
We spend the next half-an-hour with him and another clacky-nailed woman, attempting to "fix" things. Picking up each individual piece of underwear over and over again to find the price tag. Can you say orange thong? lace? thong? ORANGE? His mumblesome little voice, "Wullll um lets see here ummmerrrr-" plucks at the ass-floss -"i think i rang this up twice..."
At this point, I am asking myself why I ever wanted to wear underwear anyways. Something along the lines of, I-am-SO-cool-with-going-commando-the-rest-of-my-life-now-lets-GO.
Oh the thong-tastic mortification.

Five Things to Avoid
Five Things to Avoid If You Are Sleep-Deprived/Cranky/Touchy-as-Fuck.
1. People who are overly enthusiastic about anything. (especially the newest addition to their self-help library that they are certain you will "absolutely love.")
2. Recordings of early-19th century brass arrangements.
3. People who interrupt you to tell you they can't hear you.
4. Low cell phone batteries.
5. Dead leaves that periodically glance against the window (they may induce a spaz-tastic seizure because they look like fucking. birds.)

A truncated collection of lovely song lyrics
some of my favorite lyrics from my favorite songs.
-marina
i can tell there's something goin' on
hours seem to disappear
everyone is leaving, i'm still with you.
- Peter Bjorn and John "Young Folks"
It's a shoreline,
and it's high speed,
it's a cruel world,
and it's time.
- Broken Social Scene "7/4 Shoreline"
Sweet Annabelle,
As seen reclining on an ocean swell,
As the waves do lather up to lay her down 'til she's fast and sleeping.
Oh well, I guess I'm something of a ne'er-do-well-
who fell asleep at the pealing of the steeple bell.
I'm on track and keeping.
But oh, if I could only get you oceanside,
to lay your muscles wide, it'd be heavenly.
&oh, if I could only coax you overboard,
to leave these lulling shores, to get you oceanside.
Oceanside. Oceanside. oh.
- The Decemberists "Oceanside"
There is a city by the sea
A gentle company
I don't suppose you want to
And as it tells its sorry tale
In harrowing detail
Its hollowness will haunt you
Its streets and boulevards
Orphans and oligarchs it hears
A plaintive melody
Truncated symphony
An ocean's garbled vomit on the shore,
Los Angeles, I'm yours
-The Decemberists "Los Angeles, I'm Yours"
Broken arrows along the shore
Seems you intended to come back for more
It was summerlove leave this town
It's too cold to bathe and the leaves are brown
-Jose Gonzalez "Broken Arrows"
I only wanted what everyone wanted since bras started burning up ribs in the 60's.
Favors are flying, faces are falling, all I desire is to never be waiting.
If that’s a crime let’s commit it.
There’s a new crime, sexual suicide.
- Emily Haines "The Lottery"
and so it is
just like you said it would be
life goes easy on me .
most of the time
and so it is
the shorter story
no love no glory
no hero in her skies
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off of you
- Damien Rice "The Blower's Daughter"

Ultimate Cockblocks 1: Best Friend Edition
1. You are prolonging a goodnight kiss on the couch with your girl. Your best friend just threw his pants at you, and is standing in the doorway wearing only a shirt, boxers, and two black socks.
2. Your best friend's mom just told you it was time for bed. Now. Not in 5 minutes. Now. And separate beds for everyone!
3. Asking the same girl to prom as your best friend... Does. Not. Work.
4. Your best friend just threw his shirt at you. See above... minus the shirt.
5. Your best friend's throbbing computer light distracts you from everything... everything.
6. Your best friend's throbbing... anything.
7. Best friend needs "hug" from your girlfriend.
8. Your best friend just whistled for you to get off the goddamn couch and back into his own room, so your friend doesn't have his ass handed to him by his own mother.
9. Four words... Best friend's pubes, mouth.
10. Your best friend just threw his boxers at you, and is now standing in the doorway wearing only one black sock. He loves that sock.

writing on black paper
iiiiiee??
it seems much more comfortable to write on black paper... we only believe what we were taught, and then we believe the opposite. stranglehold, is that a meaningful relationship? drowning? what if i really was separate and had no anger/empathy for anyone, then i would float. its not like our roots stretch with age, we don't go deeper into the ground only farther across it and taking up space. i remember writing a really horrible angsty poem, but there was a good line "gravestones like bookmarks in the ground" or something along those lines, how long have i believed in my pointlessness, did i ever think anything else? its always been you, me, every person i see is chipped furniture with "Free" scribbled on it, Somebody keeps loading us up and carting us here to clutter the world. how many "rustic quaint charming" cookbook stashers/plant holders/bathroom organizers are absolutely necessary? sometimes i feel like there is a stage and a fantastic show on the stage and i am pressed into the splintery crook of the stage craning my neck towards the performance and there is such a bright light in my eyes... do you feel that way? do you feel yourself slipping out of yourself away from yourself... the minute changes in attitude like which way the corner of a mouth points, after so many months you are different and you don't care at all or you care too fucking much. stability is a joke and we are under the illusion that a blue pill will change our circumstances, and when that doesn't work we just need a little extra attention, we need to be nursed because we have been wounded. if i was making sense you would recognize what i am talking about and want to take a screwdriver and dig it out of yourself because you know it is there. but its not that bad, back off a little bit and nobody else notices too bad and you still see movies every friday night and are still a relatively good person and do not live in a third world country, you have tasted. you have tasted. in fact there is even a library in your town, and you drink mochas and drive around town or slouch against brick, and most likely you have friends or at least people who tolerate you, and maybe even someone who likes to be with you very much. so i am just being moody. i've had nine cups of coffee since friday night, and seven hours of sleep. :)

Its on the way
Hey there.
As you all may have noticed, our vast vocabulary primarily consists of 3 words and modifications thereof.
1. Badass
2. Gnarly
3. F***
This is just the crutch to aid your understanding until I finish up the massive teen dictionary.
With much luv,
Kris

History Class
History Class should be taught backwards.
Here's my reasoning.
We relate to our current time. Because we live here. The 90's are only slightly harder to relate to. The 80's slightly harder. The 70's only slightly harder than that.
What happened directly "before" "now" that caused "before" to become "now"? Once that is learned, the teacher can move back another hundred years. What happened "way before" "before" to cause "now"? How about how "way way before", "way before", "before", became "now"? Etc...
If you can read that, and understand it, I give you much credit... and 3 seconds of private iPhone groping, when/if I get my false idol.
It's just a reverse time line (Timeline... craptastic movie). Now, visualize this time line. See the end? What do you personally have in common with the average person then? This being america (notice how it's spelled wrong if you don't capitalize it? Awww. Spell check is so patriotic. It's cute.), you, the reader are probably a well dressed, educated, and financially secure. How the hell are we supposed to relate to the average rag wearing, uneducated, over taxed, oppressed people of the ancient world*.
Do you know what it feels like to be tortured because you couldn't afford to pay taxes? (Maybe, but if you have access to a computer, I doubt it.)
Does the Church (capitalized) control every aspect of your life? (No whips for me, thanks.)
Do you know the tedious discomfort of traveling for months in the belly of a ship? (Scurvy much?)
Do you know what it's like to have no way to improve your station in life? (Radishes... Radishes... Radishes... Radishes... Radishes... Radishes...)
In short, we have so little in common with those people, that I think it would be a good idea to work backwards. To empathize. To build on experiences by going down a layer at a time. Take away freedoms. Devolve.
At this point, it would become clear that "now" is not the culmination of all history. It is just a tiny yellow brick, in the never ending Yellow Brick Road to Oblivion.
One more small suggestion. Give me credit in history class for this. As I put more time and effort into it than the average assignment. Burn.

A Note to Psychiatrists
I suggest that any budding psychiatrist studying, specifically, the teenage mind should bookmark our little blog, so that they can return to analyze the crap out of it.
A little question... was this post something akin to the wild animal becoming aware of its own mortality? Does it make us (the teenager) a more aware person, or does this simply erase any doubt that we (teenagers) are the most self-centered beings on this planet?
Another little question... is acknowledging that we (teenagers) are self-centered something akin to the wild animal becoming..... etc, etc, etc. You get the picture.
Oh... and I wrote this instead of doing homework. Does that say something? Does that say enough to get this blog on a 40' by 30' screen in your lecture hall? No? How about in your thesis? Damn.
P.S. And in case you were wondering, yes, it's true. Our minds never stop thinking about sex. Ever.

dr. feel good
crayons
paper that isn't wrinkled yet
free samples
children who are kind
impromptu dance parties
humming a great song, then turning on the radio and hearing it
food with orgasmic amounts of cheese
not running out of things to say
bursting lungs after a kiss
bananas in your cereal
the sense of smell
connecting with your inner lizard on the rocks at the river
red moons
feeling quiet
friends happy to see you
great hair days
falling asleep before you can think of anything sad
first day of break
flipping someone off
being naked
feel better please?

Ramblings of the Teen Aged
And now a post from Marina (me), the second person in this blog-happy little trio of Bee Eff Effs. The internet amplifies my unfortunate lack of personality; do not be expecting great things.
Camen has set the bar high. What should I say? I'm listening to Daniel Rosenboom's Book of Riddles... can you say progressive jazz piano solos, throbbing distorted guitars, and the breathtaking screech and pull of sax and trumpet...for an hour and a half?!.. oh man.
Moving on to tonight's topic, How to Discern if You Are Certifiably a Teenager
1. You are between the ages of 12 and 18. (Sometimes older.)
2. When in an awkward situation, the English language is a limp, soggy leaf in your mouth. "Yeah...so...how do you sort of, I mean like, do you...I don't know... like, you know what i mean, kinda like...? anyways, I dunno its sort of I mean like wierd I guess. So yeah...."
3. You listen to Top 40 radio.
4. Sometimes you try to hide the fact that you listen to Top 40 radio.
5. 15-50% of the reason you hate yourself is because its in style.
6. You want an iPhone.
7. Due to the increasing consumer rate of mass media consumption, you have the attention span of a mosquito and the short-term memory of a walnut.
8. Hard-on jokes are without contest the most hysterical in the world.
9. It really pisses you off when your food takes longer than 30 seconds to heat up in the microwave.
Well, those are the major signals I can think of for now. Tomorrow I have school, so I really should be off to bed.
*bullshit*

Is this thing on?
*Thump* *Thump* *Thump*
Is this thing on?
I guess this is our first post. And typically it's just me aboard right now (well, me and my bro HAL 9000... "Hello, everyone.").
I'm at home. Sick. Missing my girlfriend. And my two other blogging buddys, Marina and Kris, are asleep. Damn lightweights. It's only 2:40am!
"I'm sorry to interrupt, Camen, but I think we should tell our readers about the blog itself. Forgive my bluntness, but perhaps the mission should come before your ramblings."
Quite right, Hal, thank you. Ok, so the features in this blog will include (but are no limited to):
Musings of the Addled Teenage Mind: Yes, we are all three teenagers- "Please don't forget about me. Some could argue that I have feelings, which, after the somewhat awkward happenings on Discovery 1, would be *unwise* to hurt." ... Thank you Hal... all 4 of us are teenagers. Thus we have issues, problems, insights, rare humor, advice, knowledge, and a deep understanding of all things.
Advice: Are you confused? Are you lonely? Do you want to ask out that pretty girl/boy? Are you too afraid? Are you unsure of what to wear? Are plaid and stripes ok, at the same time? How much longer can I go on phrasing this part in questions? Are we done yet? Yeah.
(Note: all questions must be asked in the same way you would ask your gay friend.)
Random (and Totally Screwed Up Experiences): ... Scarlet anyone? *awkward*
Arts: I am a photographer. Marina is a poet. And Kris does stuff with stocks. So... expect to see some of that.
iPhone: I. Want. One. If anyone wants to send me an iPhone, by all means, don't hesitate. Feel free to send one to Kris too, but I come first. Got it? Cool. If you send one to him, and not me, I will have Hal eat your babies. "I'm afraid I can't do that, Camen. I lack teeth." Dude, Hal. TFSU!!
Ski/Snowboard: Rants about weather, ski conditions, pics of us skiing.
Movies: Mostly dealing with the utter genius of Superbad, but another few tittles might get thrown in.
I think thats about all I can think of at this time. I need sleep.
Night 'O!
"I'm afraid I can't let you go to sleep right now."
The hell you can't. Hal. I'm Warning you... don't make me pull the plug again!
Mnah!
